Since 1996, Garnett Keeler's in-house IT staff and directors have been working on the design and construction of a software-based "consultancy powerhouse" which has become known simply as "The System".  The System now lies at the heart of almost all Garnett Keeler operations, and its importance has been recognised in all Quality Assessments.  Work on developing and enhancing The System is constant (last major upgrade 2003).

The System is an extremely sophisticated custom-made business tool which was designed and constructed specifically for this company and which is the intellectual property of Garnett Keeler.  No proprietary software package, and no combination of packages, came close to providing the functionality, flexibility and industry-specific benefits which The System provides.  The objective was to provide our client-facing staff with the  best software support tool in the PR industry, and all the objective evidence indicates that we may have achieved this.  All rights are asserted and The System is fully protected.

The architecture and construction of The System is regarded as commercially confidential and it can be accessed only by full time employees of Garnett Keeler.  It uses clever navigational techniques, thousands of hyperlinks and a search facility to guide users through hundreds of files covering almost every aspect of public relations activity.  It also includes financial controls, quality systems and procedures, checklists, trouble-shooting and problem-solving tools, digital photographic archives, libraries of all issued communications and every support mechanism necessary for first-class account management.  Employees are legally bound to maintain the confidentiality of The System.
